The Training Program:

Professional Development Activities

Dissertation Release Time.

Two hours per week of dissertation release time are available throughout the year. Support in the form of reading drafts, statistical consultation, etc. is also available from the Counseling Center staff and from other sources on the SIUC campus.

Conference/Workshop Attendance.

Interns are encouraged to attend national and regional conferences and training workshops. Professional development leave is available for these activities, and partial financial support has been available.

Professional Development Days.

Interns receive 10 days of professional development leave to travel to their home departments for dissertation work, for conference attendance, and for job interviews.
